From best friends to a recovery brand.

How it started

From best friends to a recovery brand.

Suraj and Lloyd's friendship began when they were toddlers. They lived across the road from each other from the age of four, were in the same class at school, and have been best friends ever since.

In September 2016, Lloyd had just finished a season for Northamptonshire that had been plagued by injuries. During a gym session, Suraj suggested they start a company together focused on performance, recovery and injury prevention. Sports Medica was born.

Their skills complement each other perfectly, with Lloyd's creativity balancing Suraj's analytical mind. The family has since grown to include Patrick, who mentored Lloyd in strength and conditioning at university, and Suraj's sister Punam, who joined in a consultancy role.
